THE FIRST ANNUAL KARL J. VOLK SCHOLARSHIP ART AUCTION

Long-time City of Poughkeepsie resident and Spackenkill school district elementary school art teacher KARL J. VOLK has donated 30 of his original paintings, to be auctioned at BARRETT ART CENTER, 55 Noxon Street, Poughkeepsie, on Saturday September 23 2017, starting at 4:30 pm. These works of original art, in various mediums and subjects and sizes, will be on display for viewing and intentions on Friday September 22 and- (if any are left!) on Sunday September 24 as well.

For the Auction on Saturday September 23, all are welcome to sign in and register for free, and the bidding, under the direction of local art personality Scott Marston Reid, will commence at 4:30 pm. Light refreshments will be available.

The proceeds from this Auction will fund college scholarships for one 2018 graduating senior from Pougheepsie High School and one graduating senior from Spackenkill high school, to further their intention of majoring in Art studies in college.

Thanks for your Support and Participation!

We raised $2,000 to be converted into scholarships, and we will be publishing more details in the process, leading to the awarding of these scholarships- one at Poughkeepsie High School graduation, and one at Spackenkill High School graduation.
